finally – after scanning it for the third time over a period of years? good grief! I am finally happy with a digital version of this portrait. It was a hard job to match ‘the feeling’ of the original darkroom print.  I normally reserve this image for the old-fashioned-printed-by-hand-in-the-darkroom silver gelatin version, but I am now making a digital, more affordable version of this portrait of the Dalai Lama available. I know a lot of you out there have wanted one, but the silver gelatin version (because of the work involved), was just a little out of range. You’ve talked, and I’ve listened.

This digital print is 6.25″ x 6.25″, printed with archival pigment ink on beautiful fine art paper. Then float mounted on a 11 x 14 foam core.

AND it’s only $45.

digital print – archival pigment ink on fine art paper – $45 – makes a great gift!

Two ways to get your hand on a digital print

1. catch me at my studio/gallery Photos Do Not Bend on 4th St. lower level Perry’s next to the Post Office in Ketchum, Idaho. I’ll give you one in person.

2. buy it online.

that’s a link to my online Etsy store, I’ll print it, sign it,  and mail it to you.

Silver gelatin darkroom print is still available. Some of you are purists out there – only the best will do. I understand. All the black and white artwork hanging in my home is all silver gelatin.

I thought I had sold the last silver gelatin print, but I got a request for more, so I started up the darkroom again after a 2 year break, and printed another batch. These custom made silver gelatin prints are 6″ x 6″ (on 8 x 10 paper). They are made by hand in the darkroom, with love. They are custom printed, washed, dried, flattened, spotted, and free-float mounted onto archival 16 x 20 acid free mat board. No two are exactly the same.       $175.
